March 8 Meeting - your projects part 2

There were so many projects in March! Here is group two - 

 Chris brought her pretty shaded quilt in green and purple.

Donna said everyone should have a very little pineapple - not a big  pineapple - just a little one - and this mini wall quilt is only about  15 inches square.

Kaylene made basket blocks from some very small scraps she received in the chinese auction exchange.

Rose made several self-binding baby blankets in adorable patterns and colors

and she brought her gorgeous quilt she made from blocks she received in the birthday block exchange last year. 

The back of Rose's quilt is almost as pretty and fun as the top and the quilting is fantastic!

 We always love to see the baby quilts - this one is from Stephani L.  Love the texture and softness of the minkee in this one and love the cute baby peeking from behind!

\This purse Tiffany made has us all curious since she used an old metal tape measure to make the snap-close top! Very cool!

10-minute quilt block

Our education demonstration for March was the 10-minute quilt block.  It uses squares of fabric and by folding and sewing the block in sections,  a dimensional square inside a square block is created.

Teri showed the basics of how to make the block and showed several quilt tops that used the 10-minute block.

March 8 Meeting - your projects part 1

There are always so many beautiful quilts and projects each month! Its always fun to see so many!

 Heidi showed a levi quilt top and an easy and cute pink stripe baby quilt.

 Stephanie M has been making the cutest little skirts - we love the flower detail on each one -

 and these adorable ties for the boys.

 I think everyone fell in love with the wipe covers Stephanie M and Trina made. Here is one tutorial to make a wipe case cover for anyone interested in making them.

 Teri brought a brown and cream quilt top she is making for a bedroom redo and she showed this woodland wall quilt that would be perfect to decorate a cabin or trophy room.

Tonya brought the crib ruffle and bumper set she is making for a new baby boy. She also made a matching wipe cover and car seat cover in such a fun color combination!

 Rosemary finished her jellyroll sampler quilt we have been working on. She chose a valentine themed jelly roll for her blocks and paired it with a brown background - a combination we thought was unusual but we all love. The instructions for all the blocks in the sampler quilt can be found here.
Rosemary also showed a patchwork quilt that uses purple embroidered blocks and lots of scraps for the accent blocks and borders.

Julie brought her finished I Spy quilt. It is pieced using disappearing 9-patch blocks and was quilted by LeAnn. Julie also brought some poems that could be included on the label of I Spy quilts. Thanks Julie!

slow as a snail

Hi ya all!
My computer completely crashed and died over the weekend so I am slow getting photos and instructions. The good news is that I do still have the photos from March quilt group and now I have a new working computer - just no software to work with the photos - But I will have everything ready to go by mid week - I really hope!
