April 12 Projects

Wow! There were so many beautiful quilts and projects again this month! And we were so excited to welcome Devri's sweet baby to the group! He is adorable!!!

Stephanie L. was inspired by the projects last month and was busy, busy sewing a bag and lots of cute little girls skirts and accessories.

Sandi shared a fun and practical clear zipper bag to keep current projects together and accessible. We loved this idea! Such a cool way to organize and store smaller projects! There is a TUTORIAL HERE for a similar bag with a zipper and another tutorial for a bag without the zipper so you can make your own project bags!

Sandi also showed us this square bag she made to keep projects in also, and the current project she has hiding in the bag is pretty crochet cockscomb flower clips.
Here is a tutorial for a square bag that is similar to Sandi's. Thanks for link Des!!

Sandi had the fun idea to make a levi quilt from dresden plate blocks she received. She simply stitched the dresden plates onto squares of denim and combined it all to make this fun, colorful quilt!

Sandi also showed this very pretty quilt we decided to call the watercolor quilt because of the colors. She appliqued the flowers onto the lime and pink blocks. This quilt was quilted by Leann Price.

Mona made this cowboy quilt especially for her grandson. She wrote a poem about for him that describes some of the things he says and loves right now and put it on the label. This will be a fun reminder when he gets older of his little boy days!

Teri said she has been working to finish some of her project piles and made some pretty table runners.

Teri also shared this amazing china blue sampler quilt made from blocks she won at a quilt show. She said she made up the design and used the book "Setting Solutions" as some of her inspiration for the layout.
